BRAIN STORMS

Bright sunny day,
Life is good, not a care.
Risk and reach out,
To have fun and share.

Clouds sneak overhead,
Tendrils of doubt tug the mind.
High expectations,
What's hoped to find?

Storm winds build,
Blowing reason around.
Recurrent insecurity,
Pummels sense to the ground.

Cold rain starts to fall
Quickening the heart's pace.
Depression and fear
Old habits hard to erase.

Waters surround and turn warm,
Massaging the soul.
Smiles work their magic,
Life again feels whole.

Colors of sunset,
Food, drink, conversation.
Dopamine rush,
Confidence needs no translation

Stars will come out,
Sometimes a long wait.
The night is calm,
Don't think, just go masturbate!

Ha!

OK, the end is great. I didn't see that coming (oh dear. No pun intended).
