Day after thankless day
another night alone
Week after week
no one seems to care
Searching with open arms
to find nobody standing there
Awake to another day
to another hopeless dream
Only to close their eyes
crying themselves to sleep...

Anonymousover 12 years agoConcise and thought-provoking. Nice structure. Flowed very well. At first I thought that it lacked detail, it left me wanting to know more...but after reading it a few more times I found the 'missing' detail quite appealing. It shows the depressed perspective very well. Very nice!
