            Sitting on a Saturday Night
Wondering what to do about my plight
I see a light off in the distance,
            Then nothing
I wonder how long it’s gonna last
            Can’t back down from
            The agonies arising
            Within me
I look to you for guidance
            A simple answer
            To my foes
            You stand there
            Stoic
            Nonresponsive
            Just being there…
But even that is an answer
            To an unasked question
            You, my brother, standing there
            Within your own world
Can you see me? Will you?
Can you hear me? Why won’t you?
I look away and try not to cry……
