~ Burdens ~
(For A Friend)

Hail piece of glass and drug of choice
sheild me from that wee small voice
from the tear worn eyes and memories
of loved ones down apon their knees
in silent whispered prayers for me
take me to some other place
 where laughter blankets my disgrace
and smoke clouds disguise all I see
as I lay my burdens on all but me...
