Bonded by words,
We ignited this fire...
Smooth soothing flames
That warmed and comforted us,
Like a blanket under the starlit sky

Fueled by inner storms,
The inferno tore us apart
And chased us away...

Enough...

Today I am back, willing to face the flames and burn my fears
Today I look my demons in the eye and scorch them...

I see you through the flames on the other side...
You're here...
Your skin golden from the glow of the fire,
Your eyes smoldering through the flames...
In trance, piercing into my soul

Demons burn and lurk..
Inviting us to come closer
While the moon spreads her light
And the stars show paths of what is to come...

Heated fear...
Is pouring out of bodies
Words once so promising,
Die an eternal death.
Poems pulsating with passion,
Show their true colour now that the varnish is burned off.

The flames rake higher,
Sheltering my hoarse voice...
Frustration from being connected and separated
By these raging flames...

We move & dance, bodies glowing,
The distance between us remains,
Until: we have challenged every last part of darkness,
Every demon has been vanquished,
We can walk these glowing embers,
And face our biggest fear...

Together...

Duplicity

Angels and Demons surround each of us at all times, it is perception that chooses which form..... I enjoyed your submission...
