Guilt

Taunting
Mocking
Hanging onto threads of ties that bind
Break free
Closure is in need
For the love is the tie
And you are the binder
Let your spouse be a gentle reminder
You can only have the memories
You can't go back to the sincerities
Those days are gone
The tie is cut
For if you did
it would still be "but..."
