BUTTERFLY

Hanging from the chrysalis suspended there in change
I must take time to hibernate until I am born again
It's almost time to shed the bonds that tie us both as one
Spread my wings, taste new life, fly up closer to the sun
Sense that calm and tranquil feeling never asking why
Catch the wind and float away as I dance across the sky
Far away to distant lands as I touch down I know I'm free
I have loved both lives that I have lived as it was meant to be
