Butterfly

You,
I feel I know you as myself.
I feel the impossible.
I am enamored, intrigued
Stumbling,
I lie here thinking of you.

A butterfly in my hand,
I'm fearful of the slightest breeze.
Afraid to breath, to break the spell.
Yellow wings lift off in flight as I realize
That perhaps it was not there.

You,
Who could complete my thoughts,
Flying in the distance, was it real?
The touch is so light, yet lingering,
The feeling so illusive.
I reach out,
I can not breathe.
No, I won't breathe!
I won't break the spell of you.

I open my eyes,
I see myself, I see you in me,
Or maybe I only wish for you.
Like a far off dream
Fluttering by once in a lifetime.

The truest love and connection

To look at the other and see yourself

Looking back at you looking at the other;

Is it any wonder that love makes people crazy?
