Days past
does Time stand still?
does the bird fly backward
what do I see in the sky?
Long tremors and easy ripples

Flights
           taken long ago
rays of eternal time return
Perchance they will
Illuminate all
understanding
Will it bring back My childhood

stops
Do I want My bachhpan back again?
My heart would be torn
asunder
cast away

I would not know
her kisses nor her
eyes locked in a tight embrace
across the red rocks and dunes of dust

Crows caw and thrushes shrill
the shrike comes in for the kill

All are as mere shadows
My love consumes
