create a deep fog,
torrential rain of anger,
roaring wind of sorrow,
brief flashes of lust.
You stand in the eye,
surrounding yourself
in love's calm,
knowing the worst
is yet to come.
The winds shift.
You stand naked
in my hurricane.
Your eyes lock with mine,
The fog obscures
both our sights.
Cold winds make
you more vulnerable to
the anger stinging you.
The freezing rain
pelts your soul.
The lust lights your eye
for just a moment,
blinding, distracting,
still, now, it is just
another dangerous aspect.
You open your mouth,
beginning to speak.
Suddenly, the sky clears,
the rain shifts away,
the wind dying
to barely a breath.
Awestruck, I realize
it was not my love,
surrounding you
as you stood
in the eye.
It was your love
calming my storm,
No matter how briefly,
so we may find
each other.
no matter the tortous course or path, TK U MLJ LV NV
Nicely done piece with this emotional storm and the discovery of who's playing what role in the midst of the turmoil.
A beautiful rendering filled with excellent metaphors. Your beautiful magic words poignant and delicate seemed pluck right out of empty air and dropped into place. Beautiful Poem.
