Can it be
That we elect a black man
A sign of things to be

As I colored in my arrow
I thought not of kith nor kin
The grace of race escaped me
And it might be a sin

To pick a man by color, crazy that must be
For we need a man with honor and some integrity
I drew my little arrow and chose with certainty

The best man for the job, no matter which one it might be.
