Can we go back to the days when:
The Silverware was brand new
The Carpet was still plush
The front door didn't squeak
The back door wasn't rusted
The lawn was still green
The garden still bloomed
The bed was never made
Teddy Bears brought sparkles to your eyes
You could see your reflection in the kitchen sink
Your journal held ramblings of love
Can we go back to the days when:
You whispered those secrets in my ear
Your smile always held a hint of laughter
Your hands were always covered in paint
Your shoes were never worn
Tell me, because I want to go back.
I want to go back to those days
Those days...
When you loved me.
Those days..
When you smiled.
I want to go back.

That longing for those simpler times where love covered all but through the years, love got lost as things became more important.
