Can you hear me?
I know you can
But can you really hear me?
My heart beats, my voice trembles
Can you hear me?
You feel it when I cry
My body writhes and shudders
It is a voice that you hear
You cannot feel my heart
Nor my soul penetrate through the wire
I cannot smell your scent
Or see your eyes roam over my body
Touch my skin, feel my heart flutter
To feel you inside of me
Your voice above me
Caressing my hair
Holding me close
Breathing my name into my ear
Wishing that you were with me

~~

There's more to hearing than sensing the vibrations in the air.
