It eats at your soul
Leaving a gigantic hole
Why do we suffer so

This disease that makes our lives a living hell
And affects the lives of those who dwell
Long after we are gone

The pain is felt far and wide
No morphine shot can make it subside

I'm fortunate enough to not know anyone who has battled with cancer. There probably aren't many who can say that. What a terrible, terrible disease.
