We met and the earth moved.
We came together and it quaked.
I knew, just knew
This was it.
The one.
We were building forever.
A castle upon the shores of life
That would stand the test of time.
Tintagel.

But then I awoke.
I came to see how things really were.
Shifting, unstable
One-sided.
The tide rolled in
Testing the strength of our love.
A castle, yes.
Made of sand.
Washed away too easily.

hmmm

Nice! I like it

The first 2 lines, though:

We met and the earth moved.

We came together and it quaked.

moved is stronger than quaked. is that what you intend? How about:

We met and the earth moved.

We came together and even heaven quaked.
