she is a cat
long and lithe
prowling and slinking
all grace and muscle
her eyes darting
seeking prey
lips wet and ready
scent betraying her
moving toward me
I tense and wait
unable to flee
and not wanting to
I turn my head
offering my neck
and she pounces
"You have a light?"
