(the chameleon has been used as a symbol of bisexuality; this poem is dedicated to all who have come out of the closet to me)

Chameleon, chameleon
sheds its skin
but don't you know the creature's still
the same within

Chameleon, chameleon
changes color
but don't you believe
he becomes any other

Chameleon, chameleon
her eyes are askew
but don't forget this lizard's looking
straight at you

Chameleon, chameleon
can't tell them apart
the male and the female have
the same beating heart

Chameleon, chameleon
straddles the tree limb
relaxes 'cause both sides
look much the same to him.

Chameleon, chameleon
sheds its skin
but don't you know the creature's still
the same within
