Prancing feet dancing lightly
white manes flowing and gently
whisping tails of misted breath rising
swirling upward tracing patterns
among finger-tipped war clouds
desire casting shadows below
The miniature horses cantering
panted breathing and snorting
the cavalier plumes of miniature men
scratching pink sky and guiding horses
quickstep through the breach
fulfilling some ancient king’s edict
The knighted ones seeking comfort
among the fallen soldiers
fading with the aftermath
the slow retreat from the scene of battle
as the conquering warrior wonders
if the earth thundered beneath his hooves

twelveooneover 19 years agoto be one of the funniest, most original things I've ever seen, that alone is worth a 100, it is a shame it is so well written also, and you can't get more.
"scratching pink sky" - I can't believe this
and this, strange twist on old cliches, I love it

WOW, this poems is toppss!! Great imagery, and the metaphors,exciting.. Think this poem has it all. I am so new at this. When I read this just loved it.. Understood it, and had all kinds of images and thoughts.. It's a exciting poem.. You had once commented on my poems. Well I realise I am no where near your caliber, but this poem is excellent..
