One, Two, Three
Oly oly oxen free!
Simon says:
take four steps back
Mother may I?
Won't guess at hide and seek
nor run cat and mouse
chase you down,
Tag you're it!
Doesn't mean I haven't thought
about it.
Behind closed doors
I have, all the time.

Won't go where I'm not wanted
even if I wish I was.
Won't cloak myself
in the shadows,
nor peek around the corner
to spy.
Although I may steal glances
from time to time.
Cherish the smiles they bring
to these lips
that have been sealed
in childs play.

Won't break down for you
to see the tears I cry.
Won't beg and plead for you to stay,
not to ever leave.
Doesn't mean
I haven't dropped to my knees
asking silently
for you not to go,
to just see me, love me
unconditionally
be with me.

I've never put myself
out there,
always guarded, childs play.
Just barely scratching
the surface,
opening up like this
is unchartered territory
for me.
I never followed you home
for fear of getting lost.
Doesn't mean I didn't want too
Ohhh how I wish I had.
Just means you never asked
me too...
