Old King Neptune thought he might like,
To celebrate a Christmas.
He thought he might get a Coral Tree,
Somewhere down by the Isthmus!

He gathered his subjects around,
And then he gave his decree.
This year we'll celebrate a Christmas,
Now find me a Christmas tree!

His subjects scattered all about,
Going in every direction.
They loved their King and would try to find,
A tree of pure perfection!

The Mermaid Julie went off too,
She thought she knew where to look.
Down South by the Panama Canal,
Was a tree fed by a brook.

The tree she found was beautiful,
The fresh water gave it life.
It's colors were so splendiferous,
And the mermaid used her knife.

Old King Neptune was very pleased,
His mermaid Julie was so bright.
"Now we can all celebrate Christmas,
And Santa can come tonight!!"

~~

Christmas may have passed, but it's still white and cold enough to hear of Neptune's Christmas wants.
