Click hereIt was at the movie theaters
At Military Circle Mall
You probably don't recall a thing
But I remember it all
The defiant red streak in your golden hair
The piercing above your lip
And when I asked if you had seen "The Matrix Reloaded"
The little fangirl squeal you let slip
We talked for twenty minutes
We totally geeked out
My friends thought we'd make them miss the movie
We really freaked them out
I had never had that much in common
With a girl as pretty as you
But you were so far out of my league
What the hell was I to do?
I wound up chickening out
I never even asked your name
I found out the hard way you only lose worse
If you don't even play the game
I looked for you the next time out
Hoping you were there
Wishing for a flash of perfect skin
Or red and gold streaked hair
But I never saw your face again
Though it still haunts my sleep
And now it occurs to me too late
That I've fallen hard and deep
So if this message finds you
As I hope it will
Please don't be surprised or scared
That I think about you still
And if you like this poem
Feel free to get in touch with me
For it would make me happier
Than any man could ever be
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHH
Ha ha ha

This is about an actual woman I met eight and a half years ago at Military Circle Mall in Norfolk, Virginia. I only saw her the one time, but have been wanting to meet her again somewhere, anywhere, pretty much ever since then. This poem, which will appear on as many sites as I can manage to post it to, is my desperate attempt to attract her attention so I can reconnect with her... a "grand romantic gesture", if you will.
