Drousy distant vacant slumber
hovers as it passes o'er
Tiny little pulses tremor
senses spark, twitch and quiver
Eyes now peering through the darkness
pull the lurking shadows in
One last breath drawn deep releases
pressing out what lies within

Bursting ... in and all around me
lifted ... up into the void
    Melting ... I'm raining down
sink ... back in to night

Raining back into the stillness
distant rhythms roll along
Ocean swells and mighty thunder
rise beneath the gathered calm
In a nearby field a flower
yields its petals to the wind
As its scent arrives upon me
the crescendo builds again

Bursting ... in and all around me
lifted ... up into the void
    Melting ... I'm raining down
sink ... back in to night
