I know your mind is clouded
And I know I’m not your man
I know my greatest weakness
Is that I’m you biggest fan

I know you think I’m soft now
It might even be quite true
But if I seem to be too easy
It’s because I care for you

I know you miss your mother
I know you talked a lot
So many hugs and kisses
Not one will be forgot

I know you love your father
Despite the games he plays
Your strong sure sense of family
Never ceases to amaze

I know that you love A_____
You told me from the start
But if he’s what you wanted,
Then how did you drift apart?

No baby, please don’t answer
It’s not my business now
I have to find a way to make
A friend of you somehow

Lord knows it won’t be easy
You had my fire aroused
I’ll have to build a stronger wall
To keep my passion housed

In any case this note is just
A white flag waving free
Wishes are for fishes
I know this wish just won’t be

So onward now to friendship
But before I close the door
One last word, just to capture
How I loved you, my ‘amoir’

For just the shortest moment
You were like a ray of light
And you found me when my heavy soul
Was black and dark as night

You are a fiery creature
Filled with passion, filled with grace
And I think it will take quite a man
To keep up with your pace

You are giving and so generous
With your time and with your heart
And despite your self indulgent plays
You’re really, truly, smart

You’re never really nasty
You are principled and fair
And besides those perfectly formed breasts
You’ve got that sexy rear

You love to hug and cuddle
And your kisses are sublime
And I could sit and hold you
Till the world ran out of time

But that brief flirtation’s over
I accept with saddened heart
Deep inside I think I knew it
Even from the very start

So I thank you for the good times
For the cheeky things we dared
Brightly shining in my memory
Will be stored the times we shared

In the future when I’m living
Most my days within my mind
It will be these times, these memories
That I’ll search for, that I’ll find

Will you memories make me happy?
Will I still feel passion then?
I think deep down we know the answer
It is “always, and again”.

Well done remembrance of a love's past. Now all the future holds is a special bond of friendship.
