Colder Light

byLadynStFreknBed©

Dreams of you, shadows of the past dancing in a colder light
than the fiery heat of nights in your arms leaves me colder. Light,

teasing touch, illumination vanquishing inner darkness…
forceful kisses stoking passion unrealized by colder light

Ill hope, relentless cries of my heart longing to worship you
above the rotunda celebrating lovers’ colder light.

Go.  Dismiss our love as you will, claiming hardship for us both
Fear of change is the harness limiting you to colder light.

True love lost sears my soul. Lessons learned not to be repeated.
Out, flame of hope! A lady has never known a colder light.
