!COMES THE NIGHT

By JCSTREET © 2004 all rights reserved

Comes the night with a
shroud sound soft
soft as icing on the snow-cake land, silent
as ice-cast trees their
thin arms
tendrils of hope, Spring

will bud soon, I wait
to greet the first snowdrop, the
first coy glance…
shyly peeking from its snow-bonnet, the

slow fell of night
charms in its stillness, the last
russet heat of sun
out beyond the wend

out of the day

~~

Carries in it the sound of hope emanating at a couple points; speaking of relationships and a promise of what the spring holds.
