Sundown made the sky bleed
onto the sand stone. We drank Chianti
from each others mouths, igniting
redder and hotter than Moab at night.
Though this very morning ash smolders,
with its wispy smoke lingering
like lust and I still say you led me on.

want to read GOOD poetry?

then don't read this. It's BEYOND good. I wish I had a modicum of your insight and talent. So wonderful to find your work again. I've missed you.....
