Cross of Pleasure

Launch me from the sharp escarpment
This precipice of pleasure, pain
Let my brain gorge on intoxicants
Binding flesh and blood and sinew, synapse
Until burned and pricked and pierced
Fearsome, mad with stimulation
An arc of fire to test the chains
I howl out the end of hunger
Flood the room with my fulfilment
Then sag in satiation
From this exquisite cross
