I think it happened when you laced
your fingers through mine.
you weren't thinking, i could tell,
forgot whose hand you held

left a bit of something in my heart
with each kiss you pressed into my skin
coaxed more than my legs open with your hands
imprinted yourself on me with your grin

can you feel my pain?
it's not easy walking away
when each small part of me
longs to wait and stay

yet somehow i know you'd never want
someone soft, and incomplete
someone who needs so much and feels so much
and cant stand on her own feet

but through my tears i see you still
and though no love blossoms i will
remember you, your image true
in my head - know each tear is for you.
