cry liberty, your children are gone
and the land of the brave
has gone to ask Oz for courage
and for some sense of justice
in these trying times, as
the court falls upon its knees
at the sign of the times,
dashing the wills of generations of
more honorable men than these,
placating the mindless masses
busy cheering for the justified murder
of the latest war criminal from
this week's distant battlefield,
as we cleverly doctor our nation's
flimsy definition of terrorism.

Agree or not, with positions espoused, the best exposition comes from the poet's pen.

I like it

Very good. Very moving poem, can feel the righteous anger.

A worthy sentiment

C-I, couldn't have said it better myself. (But I may give it a try.) My rage too, runs deep at the injustice.

Well said!

This is a great sentiment nicely worded.
