caught in your fast flowing river
I'm swept over thunderous falls
and dashed on jagged rocks below.
crawdads tear eyes from my sockets
while fish gulp loosened bits of flesh.
old tree roots drink up the blood as
sunshine beams from a blue sky and
my corpse indolently floats in
currents of your savage nature.
