thin line of addiction
drawn pale against the blade
one slender nail of promise
to mark and scar
in perfect lineation

how much life to set free
softly flowing
rich arterial lines

hearing cold whispers
thin strands
of veinal blue

trace and measure
no shaking errors
to ruin creation

measure again
then cut

for the pleasure
of self-perfections
reflected on the blade

cut again
