It doesn't hurt to ask
to take a chance
to reach out...
I've heard that being said
til the mere thought
is a cliche`
but
the I's
the I's that pass right THROUGH
without a whisper
without the slightest, merest touch
without humanity whatsoever
always hurt.

"Dance..."

I CAN hear the 'music' -
I really, really do
and CAN sing along
and move to the beat.

I've been to places
places no one dreams of
nightmare places
daydream places
places even books forget.

I've stared unseeing
at the sun
listened to the stars whisper
felt the clouds
cherished cleansing rain.
I've kissed the ice
known the thunder
close - personal
been touched
by lightning
by fire
til bitter sweet
thoughts
are all that echo.

Prayed to live
prayed to die
survived the yesterdays
and lost tomorrows.

I can DANCE -
I know so many 'ways'
to 'dance'
and meld
and blend
within any crowd -
even twos.

I listen to the deaf
and shape unheard magic
and see
and have seen
what the I's always miss
what the minds seldom know
moments
moments that never return
just always missed.

I CAN dance -
I really, really can
I'm not afraid
to touch
or be touched
again.

That was beautiful

I'm biased, being a dancer, but you really do get lost in your emotions when dancing.

You DO feel heaven and hell; you can move a mountain. Fear hinders. Strength triumphs. You must dance yourself to capture all these emotions so strongly in so few words.

To feel the music, the rhythm. I am going to print this one and keep it. Thank you. ;-)
