Day by day
The poison fades away
Every drop of pain
Is sucked from my veins

Day by day
Healing in the words you say
My black and white life
Is flooded with light

Day by day
Stripped of dismay
My broken heart
Given a fresh start

Day by day
Freed from decay
Given a glimmer of hope
Slowly learning how to cope

Day by day
Fears cast away
Love brings life
Cuts through the past like a knife

Day by day
You lead the way
To the shores of freedom
Liberated from my demons

With every word
I am restored
The change in me on display
Day by day
