I was swimming in a dark pool
Deep down as my body cut the water
I began to rise slowly to a beam of light
At the surface I saw his shadow
Cradled in moonlight.

The water felt cool round my breasts
And perhaps the trees were just playing tricks
I blinked my water filled eyes
There he stood against the backdrop of stars
A most beautiful angel of a man

My heart melting each and every beat
He held all the stars in the palm of his hand
And they ran through his fingers like grains of sand
He stayed till he promised
Until one little star fell into the pond
And I vanished.....................
