Not everyone will respond
to lies that beckon.
Desires call of siren song,
when heard from shores of want,
how sacrifice is made to belong.
Into arms that reach,
white porcelain inspire,
snowcapped waves that roll
thoughts into dreams of
the sea desire.

All the while dark horizons lurk
behind angelic wing tips
of nights silken birth.
Where unsettled rumblings
are distantly heard,
in static fashion;
On salty air
when tasted warns
of bitter despair.

How bravely we must court
across the sea
so daring a course.
Each so tempted
by a different sort
a sea that beckons
in quiet force.
