I walk a graveyard cold and still
Wind filling my heart with a chill
(I pause outside the empty vaults)
Oh Lord, pray purge me of this fault...

I prick my finger on a thorn
And from my heart a scream is torn
(Into this page I give my all)
Oh Lord, pray purge me of this fault...

The sun shines down but I am dark
While people whisper blithe remarks
(Embrace the hate: I hope they fall)
Oh Lord, pray purge me of this fault...

I may be different in your eyes,
But why does that make me despised?
(You all wear masks like ugly dolls)
Oh Lord, pray purge me of these faults.
