They were both quite hot and trim and supple
but nevertheless an unusual couple.
They got together about every third day
for a session of wild and abandoned play.
On the face of it spirits of the very same kind,
but ultimately each was of a different mind.

Tim always wanted to have along others,
to bring in a few of what he called brothers.
For Tim it most def’nitely heightened the sensation
to have other guys viewing their steamy elation.
It turned him on to have the other guys watch.
It seemed to pump extra blood to his crotch.
He liked to observe the effect that it had
on the viewers – some of them were driven mad,
heating them up, inflaming and exciting,
making them hard and extra inviting.
They’d want to join in, and that he liked too.
Most can understand his point of view.

But this point of view wasn’t shared by Mike.
The intrusion of others he did not like.
He said: If our sex becomes a public show,
we’ll be inviting trouble and sorrow and woe.
There are human emotions that are involved.
That creates a problem not easily solved.
This is not only sex; it is making love,
something that was given us from above.
The guys who watch us can’t see the emotion.
For them the thing is just a wanking potion.
To make it a spectacle, I view with distaste.
Our human relationship is then debased
into a mere matter of animal connection.
You’d see this if you gave it some proper reflection.

Now Tim loved Mike. Of that there was no doubt.
And his views deserved respect. He was very devout.
But try as he might Tim could not understand
why Mike would not agree that they ought to expand
and introduce at least one other fuckbuddy.
Mike’s dogmatic view seemed so fuddy-duddy.
Tim left it at that and decided to make do
with other group sessions with Ryan, Steve and Hugh
on the days in between, and when Mike was out of town.
He was discreet. He didn’t want the thing to break down.
