Artificial tags everywhere
brand, trademark
the arrival of civilization
franchising the world

So that where-there-is-no-Starbucks
marks a dangerous place
Even those places prisoner
to torn black plastic bags clinging
to drought stripped trees
like grieving Afghan women
after a drone strike

Customers can learn more
about those far flung
not yet civilized corners
on trademarked devices
over franchised coffee,
brought to you by
your trusted News Network.

It may have been soft spoken

but it was hard hitting. May be the best of yours I have read and there have been some good ones. 5 from me also. A fitting end to the fine reads today.

Nice soft spoken tirade

Nice metaphors and similes - quite enjoyable. Sweet O.
