Does he feel me when his heart beats
Does he feel me wake at night
Does he wonder what I'm feeling
Does he worry if I'm alright
Does he see that keeping things boxed up
Feels like he's pushing me away
But maybe that's his purpose
Because it's too painful for him to say
It seems like it's been forever
Since my head's laid on his chest
And simply listened to his heart beat
While my soul has taken a rest
Does he feel me when his heart beats
Does he even care at all
Does he see how high he's lifted me
And now how far I might have to fall
So tired and so weary
There are times I just want to scream
Not knowing what to really trust
Afraid happiness is but a dream
Doesn't he know my love is eternal
Can't he feel it in his heart
Maybe I'm the only one who can see
We were soul mates from the start
