Central France, Burgundy

The Lioness sleeps beside me

Crickets chirp and bugs bother

Kate's playing, I'm blessed it's no other

Peter Pan and England

Turn me on as no others can

Kashka sleeps whilst I drink

Woozy, warm, makes me think

I push the chair back and I

Look up at the clouds that go by

Trees roam across hilltops wide

I'm unearthing thoughts I thought to hide

Oh this blissful loneliness

Forget all others, this oneness

This "All I ever look for"

This hidden key to my door

As I drink more and more

I resist the urge to go indoors

All I want is a great big hug

I want that feeling, to be loved

Oh, the night has cleared, but up above

It's too light for stars to shine their love

No, there's one, and again, and another

And darkness falling to bring them cover

I come here only twice a year

I want to see what I come for

A sky full of stars so bright

I want to be lit up bright, tonight

The wedding list is being read

The buzz has gone, so perhaps to bed

All of the headlines said "Passion Crime"

Is this what has become of my time

I could stay here all night long

My urge to remain is still strong

But my bones are cold and wine is low

I need to rest my soul down low

I stare at the moon like a lover

Wanting to share it with another

Even if it's from a distant shore

I blow a kiss and wish Bon Soir
