A house full of brothers and sisters
he had
a beautiful mother and a caring dad
he grew up when times were hard
he worked and scraped to buy
his first car
Donnie saved his pennies and dimes
he always remembered the hard times
he played with the kids he griped and he growled
but when they done good he
was always so proud
on Thursday night in his truck he would go
to be with his friends and family at
senior center bingo
the things he treasured most in life
where his family the kids and his wonderful wife
as times goes on and hearts begin to heal
we will always remember that Donnie was real
sometimes he talked hard sometimes he talked loud
but Donnie was Donnie by himself
or in a crowd
so today as we lay him to rest
we take comfort in knowing he was the best
he was a husband brother uncle and friend
he was true to us all clear to the end.
