Do they think
That I really care?
Whether or not
They are really there

Standing at the bar
Knocking back the shots
Showing everyone
That they can indeed drink lots

Showing off
To everyone there
That they can live a life
Without care

Let them do the things
That they like the most
I’ll show them
Who’s the best host

I’ll have my party
With the people who matter most
I’ll be bubbly and happy
And raise a good toast

We’ll have a few drinks
A really good time
Even if on Monday morning
The party talked about won’t be mine

I’ll have some respect
And I’ll show my age
I’ll not hold a grudge
I’ll just turn the page
