Click hereWherever you stand you might fall
You can take everything
Everyone will throw it all
Whatever is happening
Only thing there is to know
There's a shadow that needs to glow
~~~
Take the hand of the child
Bring him far from the wild
Far away from power and money
Free the child from society
~~~
Wherever you lay your soul
You can pray anyone
The words have already been told
Chaos is the source of dawn
Find the tree, build your roots
Follow the path of your boots
~~~
Take the weak by the heart
Gather what he lost apart
Help him build a better fate
Guide him to live without hate
~~~
The world goes round
Over sky and under ground
But on it's fields, good is far
Tell me on which side you are
~~~
This is typical high school poetry at it's worst.
If you want to learn to write good poetry, take a look at Kipling.
Or the more modern poets like Jackson Browne, John Lennon, Bob Dylan, Paul Mccartney.
Don't write poetry in a conformed manner. Expand your poetic license.
If you choose to use a stylistic convention or a structured form,
be consistent.
Your rhyme scheme fails
and this makes it difficult to appreciate your effort.
