Dragonfly Lady

Shifting, cleave-high dress whose sleevings

Down her arms course lozenge patterns:

Iridescent wings of Odonata!

She copter-folds her wing-arms, high,

And, finger-lock’d, restrains their lofty

Stretchedness, and pulls them back from

Overhead to grip my neck and stroke my nape.

Flutter, lover, into place, my docking arms,

As I enfold myself around you.

She buzzes sighs!

All nature now! We mesh our bodies:

Girl, stay in place! Yet keep your

Flightsome freedom, darling!

Tether free of panties, bra, and drop the flakes

To bless my clothes like squamous eggs of skin on skin.

I’ll re-seed your abdomen.

Antenna-lengthens for her song:

Her groans, her buzzwings humming love.
