Today I awoke in my bed,
staring at the ceiling over my head.
Wondering still, what was that dream
hoping to find it, seeing only a gleam.

Do dreams come true if you remember them?
Or do they become, just visions in your head?
I ponder that question, hoping my dream will sneak up on me.
but it's too smart for that, it'll wait for me.

Wait for me to sleep, perchance to dream again,
when I'm most unaware, so I can't recall where I've been.
And so the next morning, I awake once more,
staring at the ceiling, wondering what I saw the night before.
