This Devil resides in your dreams,
You always thought He wasn't as He seemed.
Finding out you were wrong,
He really is One with a pitch fork prong.
Realizing He'll reside in Your every thought,
Leaves You wondering, sometimes distraught.

Hauntingly familiar, His face fills your dreams.
You are awakened by your own tears, your own screams.
A nightmare of the worst kind,
You wonder if you're losing your mind,
How could One change, and turn out to be so mean,
He is the Devil in disguise,
Not easily seen, hard to recognize.

Now it seems He's haunting all your dreams…
Sleeping and awake,
All you can do is give, and He will continue to take.
He can make You think you're living in hell,
'Cuz He does, and He knows it well...
