Dreaming

Authors Note: I've never showed my poetry to anyone, as I've always believed it to be pretty crap. Comments and critiques are welcome... Trust me you won't be any harsher than I am on myself

I dream of your lips pressed softly to mine;
you press your body up close
We fit well together, as if by design
I kiss the end of your nose

You giggle a little and just turn away,
my arms slip round from behind.
As I kiss your neck, and you start to sway,
Safe in my arms you're confined.

We cuddle on the couch, and watch shitty TV
Some talentless dancing ass-clown
There's nowhere on earth that I'd rather be
Here in your eyes I might drown

We’re laying in bed, and I pull you in near
I love the feel of your curves.
“I’ve got you baby, there‘s nothing to fear
I can be the man you deserve”

Then I startle awake, alone in my bed
My dream world falls to the floor.
I'm forever alone, I continue to dread,
Without the one I adore
