Click hereEmotions cloud my vision;
wistfully I wonder
does my familiarity breed her contempt?
My all too frail
Prufrockian existence
has intruded its reality
upon her dream
Daring to eat a peach I
find its sweetness
denied my palate
Fine astronomer she,
mistaking my quick glow
for a comet;
upon closer examination
by her detached scientific
mind
discovers I am really
space dust
reflecting her own brilliance.
