I can feel your words,
They seem to spiral around me,
They wrap me so tight I can’t breathe,
And yet can’t imagine life without them.

I want to be wrapped in your spiral,
I don’t care where I am brought,
I’ve spiraled down before,
But with you I can only rise.

Stronger than any security blanket,
Your words encompass me,
Filling me
With pure emotions.

I’m drowning inside of you,
Nothing outside to inhale,
So instead I draw you into my lungs,
Into my depths.

Yet as tears rack my body,
I realize you don’t know…

You haven’t seen the broken shards yet,
Haven’t felt the cold emptiness inside.

I tried to fill it,
It’s warmer than it once was,
But there’s still nothing to breathe,
Will you come drown in me?
