I sit and gaze at the surf playing with the grains of sand,
Swirling together as if in a complicated dance.
The patterns intriguing…hypnotizing.
The sounds soothing and melodic to my ears.
The deep cerulean waters reflecting back at me…like looking into a lover’s
Soul.
I could drown in those depths…sink into that splendor.
The world fades away in that instance, that simple glimpse of sapphire.
Jeweled brilliance flashing in the rays of sunlight,
Sparkling in the glow of the moon.
Like life it is constantly changing
Maybe only shifting a grain or two here and there,
But changing nevertheless.
The ebb and flow is a constant…it goes on,
But never is the pattern the same.
I take my lessons from the sea…life is constant change
And I can either flow with the tides or be pulled under,
Not daring to
Breathe.
